International Encaustic Artists

Welcome encaustic painters! This is the information page for the Portland Chapter of the International Encaustic Artists (IEA).

IEA is a professional artists' organization that seeks to raise the level of excellence in fine art encaustic work by providing global information exchange and raising interest about encaustic in the art world and with the general public.

Portland, Oregon Chapter of IEA

The Portland Chapter offers regular group meetings where members share new information on techniques and exhibit opportunities and exchange information on the development of careers as individuals and as a group.

We meet every month and you can see the information for our next meeting below. In order to attend the local chapter meetings you must be a member of the main IEA group, though you can attend one local meeting first so we can answer any questions you may have. There is currently no fee due to the local chapter, just the $75/year membership fee to the main IEA along with a small commitment of volunteer hours.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Friday, October 17 from 6 - 9 pm. It will be hosted by Melinda Fellini who will show off her favorite tools for working with wax. Members are encouraged to bring their favorite tools along too so we can all try them.

If you would like to join us and are new to the group, please email Kimberly Kent for details.
