New Intermediate Classes
My Beyond Basics series has been so popular that I've expanded some of the intermediate level offerings to include additional techniques.
Look for Texture & Pigment Sticks, Transfers & Collage or Crackle Finish workshops on the schedule in the next couple of months. You can view a full description of these classes on my workshops page.

I'll have additional classes coming up in 2009 including Stencils & Embossing, based on the class I'll be teaching next year at the National Encaustic Conference in Massachusetts. |

Save the Date: Upcoming Events
Third National Encaustic Conference June 2009 (registration is open now!) Beverly, Massachusetts
OK, I know it seems like this isn't really coming up soon, but the early bird registration deadline is October 31! If you are serious about encaustic painting this is the place to be. I'll be doing a live demonstration and teaching a full day class after the conference this year.
The organizers are capping enrollment at 225 this year, so if you are considering it now is the time to check it out.
PULSE FundraiserNovember 8, 2008
Portland, Oregon
This year I will be one of thirty-five artists who will work side-by-side to create paintings live in front of 300-400 art enthusiasts. Throughout the evening attendees will enjoy Portland's finest wine, hors d'oeuvres, and live music while these fresh new pieces of work are sold in a silent auction. Find out more here...
Hive Holiday Party November 14, 2008
5 - 9 pm Portland, Oregon
Join me in my private studio for a kick-off to the holiday season. I'll be showing work from my new Continuum series as well as closing out some old series so I can move forward. Join me for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and a nice chat! Those if you in Portland will receive an email invitation closer to the event with more information and a map to my studio. I hope you can make it! |
