Working In Wax Wrap-up
If you weren't able to come to my Working in Wax Lecture last month you can still see work of the artists profiled by visiting the event wrap-up posted on my blog. There are a few photos but also a list of the 27 encaustic artists, along with links to their web sites. This one post could keep you busy exploring for a month so enjoy! Thanks again to all of the artists who allowed me to show their work! Image above: Gin by Jeff Schaller

Chasing Time at CUBE
My newest work, Grasping at Shadows, 24" x 24"
I have my first of two solo shows this year coming up at the end of this month in Portland, Oregon. I'll be filling the walls at CUBE Gallery with my show, Chasing Time, from February 28 - March 31. There will be an opening reception on March 6 from 5 - 8 pm. I hope to see some of you there, but if you are too far away visit my blog for photos of the event.
The gallery has also set up an event page on Facebook, so please take a moment to visit the link and share the event on your Facebook profile. To help me spread the word, just click the event link above, click the "share" button on the right side and "Post to Profile." Thanks! |

Find an Encaustic Group Near You
I often have people write to me asking where they can find encaustic groups and workshops in their area so I have complied a list of the encaustic groups across the United States that I'm aware of. Here's what I have so far:
There are also 2 great forums to check for events, workshops or just to connect with other encaustic painters. The IEA forum is brand new, so it willl have more content as additional people chime in.
